Thanks to a tax rebate of £60 from the years 2004/2005 , i am now back here ...and have paid the £25 entrance fee ;). Things are moving with regard RA at the Mo.... Waiting for T-spot test and funding bid for Humira (self injected) .Anti CCP test now done in West Kent PCT now so have had that . Am seeing OT and also at last am having an MRI of my feet :O. Still at CAB , and doing social policy too , and also train advisers ( another thing to put on the CV when i am cured ;)) hehe Went on a trip on the Waverley paddle steamer yesterday which has killed me ... and went out to Sarrfend and the Thames Forts .. Lots of images taken and i am still going through them :) Some can be seen here .Hope all of you have been as well as you can be in my missing months ;) ... and what have i missed ? Hi Rich
Welcome back, I wondered where you had got to!!
Hope you get the funding for Humira approved and that it works for you.
I imagine the CAB would be lost without you, shame they cannot offer paid employment!
Just going to have a look at your pictures.
Best Wishes Sue

hi Rich,
welcome back .. you have been missed.
really pleased things are moving for you at last!!
i've been on Humira for 14 months now and can honestly say that was the drug that got me under control, i take it along with 10mg Methotrexate and Hydroxy.
it took a few months for my funding to come through but it was worth the wait.
glad you are getting out and about and still with CAB, i am sure you are invaluable to them.
great photo's as ever,
Suzanne x

Awww Thanks for the welcome back to you all old (members) and new ones :) The more the merrier :) .. and thanks for the comments on my website thingy ( still under construction but the basics are there).. it's part of what keeps me going and motivated , the other being CAB as you are probably aware. Still tired from the trip so back to bed for me at the moment :) Hugs Rich :) "The difference between 'involvement' and 'commitment' is like an eggs-and-ham breakfast: the chicken was 'involved' - the pig was 'committed'."

Hi Rich - welcome back, and I too wondered where you'd got to. I haven't been here long but it's very nice to keep seeing familiar faces - good luck with funding and all - I had no idea it could all be so complicated and drawn out. It seems very unfair that you have to go through so much stress just when you're feeling so much pain, hope it gets resolved soon. Good to see things are moving on in the right direction for you, I hope you get the funding for the Humira. It was not the drug for me but there are loads that it is good for . Good luck.
Your knowledge has been missed - I think NRAS should employ you Rich . . . . .

Hi Rich, So glad you are back again. I have not been posting for ages, but this evening I have posted on the dreaded Benefits threads! (I got my letter yesterday telling me that my D.L.A and benefits are going to be reviewed. So logged on right away to see what your thoughts on all the new P.I.P etc. were.) The ship photo's are impressive. I know what you mean about the tiredness that excursions can bring on. I went on a mini break to Spain for 5 days the week before last by ship and it has taken me a week to recover from the exhaustion! But I did get some much needed sunshine. Best wishes, Fiona
